Final Presentation

This is the final outcome of this 3 week project. It has been intense but I have enjoyed the process. This project started from just taking apart a clock and has evolved into the final product. The images below show the final prints on mount board and one mock up book of how the design would sit on a paper back standard 110 x 270mm paper pack book.

new prints/ new design Ideas

Today I did more prints...
I decided to add the letterpress design I did last week. With these I think it adds a dynamic element to the designs. This is one step in the right direction and with adding the typography tomorrow the designs will then look like fresh book covers.

Book Design. Money

Money tells the story of, and is narrated by, John Self, a successful director of commercials who is invited to New York by Fielding Goodney, a film producer, to shoot his first film. Self is a slob; he is usually drunk, an avid consumer of porn and prostitutes, eats way too much and, above all, spends too much on drugs. He has a split personality. Two faced.

I started my finding imagery from old 1970's magazines from a charity shop and the two images below were my starting point.

Mixing imagery and creating collages came from these photos
