Finished.

Here is the confirmed design with the SU. It will go into print next week and will be placed around uni. The typeface is Market_Deco and compliments the aztec design perfectly. The design has been approved by the surf team.

Poster Design

The posters has been revised and needs to be more 'fun' and eye catching, below is the examples.

Poster Design

I have been asked to design a poster for the surf club at our uni, I want to make it bold and 'retro oldschool'. It needs to show the essence of the competition and be 'funky fresh' in the words from the SU. The Competition is in. Below is the first design.

Here are the latest changes to the site, I have been searching through archives of CSS and Javascript over the last 2 weeks and have managed to put some cool code into the site. First obvious change is the colour coded home page which was a design choice as I realised most my print work was 2 toned. Secondly the navigation now moves with the scroll, so at any point in the site you can quickly change project or get to the contact page and finally the……   .header_img scroll over. which I have been trying to do for the last 24hours and had no luck until about 45minuets ago. I am pleased with the progress.

This project has allowed one to gain a great understanding of web technology and a method of branding skills to show off personality. I made it clear to my target audience; professional employers mainly, that this web presence is proficient to instantly showcase projects online.

Time management was an important role in this unit. I found that investigating and deconstructing websites allowed myself to identify layouts and elements placed on the screen. I was able to communicate with my reflexes to navigate around a website which in conclusion, allocated ideas for my portfolio.

In relation to planning and time management, I had a clear idea on how I wanted the site to look.
Simple.
Clear.
Showcase work.

Furthermore, I planned to purchase a domain name and Cargo hosting at an early stage to speed up the procedure as I was informed that it could take up to 24/48 hours to update on the server.

I have reached a fair standard and professional website that meets the brief by instantly showcasing my work to my audience.
It is kept clean, and modern which both illustrates my personality and ways of working. I consider my branding to relate to my work as the screen printed marks fit well with the type of work I produce. In terms of development, there will always be things to adapt in the future. Overall, this was a great experience that I first felt intermediated by, with the complications of coding, however then felt relaxed whenI found good tutorials online and with tutor help to push the limits of cargo.
